Homemade Hummus Recipe

Hummus and veggies or hummus and crackers is a favorite healthy snack in our household. I often buy pre-made hummus and crackers at the store because it’s convenient and you can get great organic products so many place. I often do grocery shopping at Target and Trader Joe’s and both have great healthy options for this snack. But if you are one who loves making things from scratch, this is an easy recipe to satisfy culinary creativity and support your wellness goals! This is also one of the recipes/snack options in my Whole Body Reboot program! 

Hummus Ingredients



Add garbanzo beans, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, cumin, salt and sesame oil to a food processor. Start to blend and add some of the liquid preserved from the garbanzo beans. Continue to blend until desired consistency is achieved. Serve with cut veggies, like carrot and celery or bell pepper strips. I also love to sprinkle Za’atar seasoning on my hummus. You can get this a your local spice store and even Trader Joe’s. My local spice shop even sells theirs on Amazon and it’s so good. Check out the Spice Way
